help with led tail lights

I just acquired a pair of led bulbs that i want to replace the regular rear turn/stop light bulbs on my 2012, can anyone tell me which wire is for the turn signal so i can add the resistors so the turn signals will function correctly? Thanks?

Has anyone replied? Lots of people have upgraded seamlessly to LEDs and somehow know which wire is it. I'm wondering which one for the rear and front signals. I guessed the outer wires for both but still have hyper flash.

It's odd that both the search feature here on JG and Google are both down at the same time.

Nobody has answered this on JG and Google has it differently on different cars. One JG member said it was outside wires for the front signal but that picture says differently. Does anyone have an accurate answer?

Jeez, no one owns even a cheap Harbor Freight volt meter any more?

Just pull the tail light and turn on your marker lights and see which wire has power.

Duh....

The other wire is brake/turn signal.
(Assuming you know which wire is ground...)

Thanks for the smart comment. By the way...voltmeter is one word genius.

I thought this site was for decent people to post simple answers to questions and share information. Didn't happen in this thread.

By the way. I was initially correct for anyone else who is wondering. The outside wire (not black) is the signal for front & rear signals. If your resistors don't work initially, try another pair. I purchased the same exact resistors from a different merchant and they worked. Could've been a bad product from the first merchant.

Don't mind him, he is a decent guy, probably just ran out of prune juice.
