Limp mode ..transmission problems?
I have a 2007 WH Grand Cherokee 3 litre CRD, I appear to have cleared some codes to do with the transfer case motor and reversing lights.
I have installed a installed a remanufactured from the USA transfer case motor, I have not touched any wiring just plugged it in.
I also have my own scanner now that works from the USA as well Autoenginuity enhanced Chrysler package.
I have these codes:
FCM and ABS U0101
Enhanced power train, U0101,P0676, P0672, P0671
When I try clear codes the vechile refuses to clear them.
Other warnings on the dash
'service 4 wheel drive" "Transmission over Temp" ETC flashing when engine is on / off. ESP/BAS light on all the time.
The P0605 says TCM is in read only mode and U0101 is losing communication with TCM.
Which I think is putting the TCM under suspicion ?
Any thoughts how to test and what to test / replace next?
It is stuck in Limp mode but prior to this we sometimes felt it was staying in gear too long before changing up.
We have changed transmission and transfer case fluid and filter there was no grindings etc in the old filter / oil.
Re: Limp mode ..transmission problems?
P0671 refers to active cylinder no1 glow plug circuit. mine needs replacing, it wouldnt surprise me if the other plugs also needed changing soon
