im a new member couldnt post a thread on any page except this one even though ive posted a couple comments so heres my question do u waste more gas towing a 350 pound utility trailer with 400 pounds in it so around 800 pounds total or if i just put all 400 pounds in my cabin i have a 05 grand cherokee hemi? thanks for any comments

IMHO, more weight = more gas.

x2. Plus with the trailer you have more friction with the additional tires/axles and less aerodynamics.

K thanks for the info.... Some guy had told me if u put 600 pounds in your vehicle is worse than pulling 600 because the tongue weight would be like 150 pounds.... I thought about it so thats why I asked

I once put 1000 pounds of dirt in the back of my grand cherokee hemi. 25 40lb bags. Didn't even feel like it was back there besides the rear sagging a little bit.
