Audio problem with my 2012 overland
When my Overland sits outside in temps over 90 degrees; the audio function becomes intermitent. The audio function on the menu indicates that it is off line and no audio function can be uses.

This problem does not happen all the time! Taking it to a dealer when the function is working seems a waste of time.

Once the car is put inside a garage and is out of direct sun the audio comes back on line

I believe it is a firm ware problem and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem?

More likely, it's a problem with intermittent components or connections. You're going to need a replacement head unit. Make a service appointment for a hot day, get the car nice and hot so the audio is malfunctioning, and demonstrate it to the service writer.
