Help. Jeep took apart my dash to replace the heat exchanger (after it leaked coolant into the passenger side footwell). After reinstallation my UCONNECT no longer works. I have a 2005 with a REC navigation radio. Does anyone know if the UCONNECT module is integral to the radio or is separate and therefore easily replaceable?

Re: Uconnect
That sucks. This should answer your question.

Re: Uconnect
Thanks, but it is unclear if the module can be replaced independent of the radio in the 2005. The cost of a replacement radio is excessive. Thanks.

It says it can "integrated" into the 2005, which leads me to believe that you can have just the Uconnect replaced. I could be wrong but that's what I got from reading it.

Re: Uconnect
My GC 05 Uconnect sadenly stopped, I toke it to the delear with out any result, but what I think that the Uconnect module is a supprate unit and lockated in the front passenger side.
See this link.

Good luck.

Re: Uconnect has this for sale, so I guess you could replace your old unit. Have you tried taken it back to see if they could correcdt the problem? Maybe it's just a loose connection or they didn't plug everything back together under the dash?

Re: Uconnect
If it worked when you brought it in and didnt when you get it back, i'd go right back to jeep with it.
