Brand Loyalty

On the left, my 1998 (original owner) Grand Cherokee Limited V8 with 210k on the clock. Used and abused, filthy dirty, still serving me at 350 miles per week!

On the right, our 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland with 8,750 on the clock. The pampered baby, running my wife back and forth to work at approximately 85 miles per week!

Re: Brand Loyalty

I am not loyal to any brand, like to spread my money around. This is not the first Chrysler product I have owned but it is my first Jeep. I have had 2 different regular Cherokees for company trucks and both treated me well.

Re: Brand Loyalty

Yeah I hear ya. I too have a couple other vehicles that aren't Jeeps ha ha. However when a vehicle in today's day and age gives you over 200k, and keeps on delivering, it's hard not to stick with it. The Wk2 seems like it too will be with us a very long time.

I love to see some other "two-Jeep" families post up some pics.

Well -- not at the same time -- but my wife used to drive this:

And I currently drive this;

Does that count?

I haven't had any one particular car for a long period of time, but to date I have owned:
-1993 Cherokee XJ country
-2000 Cherokee Sport
-2005 Grand Cherokee Limited Hemi
-2008 Grand Cherokee SRT8
And now currently drive a 2012 Grand Cherokee Overland V6

I'm impressed.

Re: Brand Loyalty

Jeeps have never been my only vehicle but the most consistent brand (consecutively).

'94 GC V8 > '98 GC 5.9L > '02 GC Overland 4.7L HO > '11 GC Overland 5.7L.

Re: Brand Loyalty

I'm a Jeep guy, on my 4th straight daily driver. I take 'em to high mileage and have been happy with them all:
1988 XJ Laredo, 1991 XJ Laredo, 2000 XJ Classic. All with Trak-Loc and the last two with Selec-trac full time 4WD that would go through almost any snow, including billowing over the hood and roof.
Now 2011 WK2, which has not yet been proven as solid in deep snow, but I have yet to take it through a winter with proper tires (the stock Latitudes are still my only real beef with this beast, but they are now thankfully history). Looking forward to winter now, both for cooler temperatures (my preference is -30C rather than +30C) and to test out deep snow.

This is the only picture I have that shows both Jeeps in the garage.
