Spent some time cleaning her up outside and under the hood

got her all shined up yesterday (waiting around for my wife to go into labor and running out of things to clean) figured i would snap a few pics

everyone is always so up in arms about CAI and where they are mounted... snapped some pics to show how much air flow actually comes up to one mounted like this... you can see though right to the ground, the fan gets the air going all around it... stays pretty cool

my truck and the wifes car all spit shined

muffler tip always drives me nuts on really clean cars and that is all rusted or on blacked out rides it is chrome... every few months i lay a few coats of dupli color gloss black, and a a few coats of clear... holds up well for a few good months

Nicely done! I always love to see pics of what others are doing on here. I'm a pic whore myself... :)

If you want a quick way to shine up the engine compartment on the cheap, see if your local AutoZone or Advance carry a product called CD-2 Engine Detailer. After you clean it up under there and it's dry, you spray this on everything and then just drive. After it gets good and hot under there, it really glosses everything up. Here's what it did to mine after I cleaned it with a soft brush and some Simple Green:

Looking great guys! Here's a little tip I found out buy accident. You know how your alt and air conditioning compressor start to oxidize and get that white stuff on them after a while. Mine sits most of the winter so I probably see this more than you guys. Put some Back to Black on a rag and wipe 'em down. Makes them look showroom new again.

HAHAHHAHA...good eye! Yeah, that's an old pic...probably 2 years old. Note the old grille. The dreaded spring clamps came off early this spring I believe when I replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses.

I spy some spring clamps in your pic too buddy... :ohsnap:

Ha, I noticed the old grille and it looked familiar so I figured it was an old pic. Good cleanup tips guys I will have to find the engine gloss stuff. Nothing wrong with spring type hose clamps, I had a screw type clamp come loose and dump all my antifreeze down the highway....

Great looking Jeep JRK5892!
