Getting Mopar Rock Sliders installed now

Getting my rock sliders installed on my 2012 GC Altitude today, will post pictures when the 1.5 hour (LOL, dealer quote) install is done, dopped it off at 9:30 am (part of my purchase deal), although I don't expect to hear from them until EOD for some odd reason :)

So I had a choice of loaner cars, a 2012 Caliber SXT, or a Town & Country.... I was like don't you have anything more masculine?

Sigh... i took the caliber, and i feel like i could fred flinstone it quicker than the four hamsters are doing...

Let us know what the service people say if this is their first set they are installing. It took the best tech at the local dealership 10 hours to do mine and they were not happy about it!

Re: Getting Mopar Rock Sliders installed now

It's been 7 hours and I haven't heard anything yet, so i guess that is not a good sign... they were supposed to do the state inspection and fix the front bumper as my jeep only had 300 miles on it and the front bumper fascia was popping off under the headlights... sigh

Ok, well it took them 8.5 hours to get them installed. But they do look pretty bad ass ! They didn't say if these were the first ones they have done for the WK2, but said they were a lot harder than side steps or step tubes :)

looks good! did you check about some of the mounting points on where they drilled? concerns for rust?

Re: Getting Mopar Rock Sliders installed now

From the instructions, a drill nor bit is required, all holes are already there. So there aren't any places that were drilled.

Did they bill you for 1.5 hours or 8 hours?

the rock rails and labor were included when i purchased it on 7/28. They just quoted 1.5 hours, so I have been laughing all day... :)
