Mineral grey

Last week I mentionned that I was coming around to this color. I passed a pullover area along I-87 south today and parked there was a car carrier with one Chrysler minivan in blue and entire balance of the load was mineral grey WK2's. He must have picked them up at the Selkirk rail yard. This afternoon I stopped for gas on the way home and at the next pump was a mineral grey/saddle Summit. Just the combination I was hoping to see. It looked great!

I have mentioned in other threads I was set on the Red. The deal didn't work out. During that time I actually saw one on Ebay and when I went back to the dealer they had one. I bought a V6 in Dec, then traded it for a V8 in March. I got the Mineral Grey again.

The color is dark enough to get that deep shine, but light enough that it always looks clean.

While I don't prefer to buy and drive grey vehicles, I will absolutely admit that the Mineral Gray is a perfect shade of that color and it looks outstanding with the New Saddle interior. Had I not been able to score my hard to find Winter Chill Summit not quite two weeks ago, I would have accepted and happily have a Mineral Grey Summit in my driveway! It's a great color...

At one time mineral gray was hard to find but there are a lot of them on the road now.

I really wanted my Summit to be Mineral Grey when I bought last spring but none were to be found without ordering and I couldn't wait that long. So I have black. But I'm jealous every time I see a MG.

Yes. My dealer says black is #1 nationwide. JRNYC- thanks for the pix. No need for you to show it to me if you are up this way! It was an identical one next to me at the pump yesterday except it had the 20" wheels.

Re: Mineral grey

I highly recommend mineral gray and have it on my 2012 Overland with saddle interior. Those two colors together look incredibly classy and rich. One thing that I really like that has been mentioned is that mineral gray still has a very deep shine for those that like to keep their cars detailed and clean. And ofcourse since its a gray it hides dirt and blemishes (not that I have any;-) incredibly well.
Last but not least and this is something I have not seen mentioned yet. This color also looks strikingly good in cloudy, gloomy days where as most colors just kind of look blah in those lighting conditions. Some of the sweetest views of my Jeep were when it was all clean, but on not so sunny days. It goes really well with chrome as well which is a good thing for those Overland guys. IMO its an all around excellent color.
