LOUD NOISES!....from under my jeep
I've recently had some clunking from underneath my 08 4.7L WK.. probably for about 3 weeks now.. should I be worried?.. sometimes, it sounds like the front.. other times it sounds like the rear.. mostly from under the driver seat though... never had any clunking the first 8 months of owning it stock.. the jeep got hit by a drunk driver in the beginning of June.. and the rear quarter panel had to be repaired.. i also lifted it then when they were done with the accident repairs.. the clunks started a little under a month after the lift.. I'm hoping they didnt f*$k more stuff up that wenr unnoticed.. bc its a little late now...

Usually I will only hear the sound when I am going slow and turning over any bumps of sorts.. or just going slow and turning on occassion.. found that it also clunks a bit more when it rains.. not sure why. sounds crazy that it would clunk more in weather to me, but It does and I dont know what the problem is..
I will be getting Bilsteins put in all around in October.. should I tell them to check it out while its in there? anything to look for specifically? is it bad to keep this unchecked until then?

Also, when I shut the engine off after say like a 45 minute highway drive into work, it sounds like someone is rolling a marble around under my jeeps pipes.. lots of "tink, tank, clunk"... is that the engine just settling after driving for a while?

check the sway link bushings. the sound after shutting it down is likely the stock muffler cooling

thanks Svenska. I'll have my buddy take a look at the sway bushing.. he drove it and checked the play in the front end and he thinks it may be a ujoint. gonna throw it up on a lift and give it a look.

and thanks.. yea, figured its just pipes cooling down just thought i would mention it.
