iPod/iPhone hookup...

So checking out my new to me 07 Overland and it appears I cannot hookup or sync my ipod/iphone to the radio- 6 disc system. Am I able to install a cable to back of the unit in order to hook something up for tunes?

Or if you're like me and happen to have the VES, you can just use a standard minijack to RCA connector from your iPod and hook the RCA's into the L/R inputs on the VES control panel. Works perfectly and cost me $3 in cabling ;)

I bought and installed this one. As long as you don't have the DVD player hooked up, this plugs into the empty VES plug in the back. I took out the dash, shift knob facia and center console and ran the cable up into the console thru a drilled hole so I can tuck the wire back into the console when not in use, otherwise there's plenty of cable left to pull it out at least a couple feet.

with the ves system all you need is an rca to 3.5mm headphone jack cable. plugs right back into the rca inputs in the back of the center console. cable is cheap and wont stop any kind of other functions.

Hi eveyone, new poster here so be kind. I have a 2007 Overland with 6 cd changer, Uconnect and Nav. I want to hook up my Ipod but do not want to pull out my radio and need a inexpensive way to do it... any suggestions. Oh and one other thing...what is VES?

VES = Vehicle Entertainment System. You'd have flip down video screen for the rear seats and the connections (RCA) for the aforementioned 3.5mm to RCA connection cable ($5) right behind the center console under a plastic lid/flap. It should be right in front of the rear slide out cup holders.
