Filling gap between radiator & motor

My wife's 07 WK has gone through 2 electric cooling fans, and while the one I just installed has a lifetime warranty, I figured I'd do something to stop the problem.
Since it's a 3.7 and sits in a huge bay intended for the hemi, there's a big gap between the radiator and front of the motor.
We live in North Lake Tahoe, and some of our snow storms can be 3-4 feet deep, and with our wet snow, a lot of it gets up and under the front end.
The cooling fans that have failed both had damage from water/mud getting into the back of the electric motor.
I've done a bunch of searching and haven't seen any oem or aftermarket units, so I have to build something myself.
I had a piece of aluminum stock just wide enough to make a difference, and is mounted between the radiator and front sway bar.
However, while installing it, I realized that a much larger cover would be better and not offer any problems to existing parts, so I'll be fabbing a fiberglass unit before the first snow falls.
I have extensive 'glass experience, but I see this project being pretty easy.
Pics and process to follow!

Sounds great.

Drooling for pics.

A few have done sheet metal. Anyone that regularly drives on sand has same issue. Marlin had a homemade aluminum one.

I've only had my WK for a year, and hadn't considered this problem. This sounds like something I also need to pay attention to.

Okay, the project is complete! I'll put up a write-up in a new post.
