Just changed out 2005 WK 3.7 Bearings - now noise when left off gas above 40mph?

Hello all,

For the last month I had what sounded like a wheel bearing noise, but after changing out 4 wheel bearings, driveshafts, and the transfer case, I found out it was the carrier bearings in the rear.

So my mechanic friend installed them for me, and the wheel bearing noise went away. But now when I go above 40 Mph, and let off the gas, I get a grinding or groaning sound. If I give it more gas, it goes away. When I accelerate, it goes away. Only when I am going 40-80mph and I let off the gas completely does it come. Any ideas?

Gear whine on decel is almost always due to improper backlash.... once in a great while it's pinion depth but very rarely...
