Post One-Week WJ Detail Session...

Following on from Tony's detail thread, I decided to give my baby a quick bath this afternoon and then do a little photoshoot this evening.

My A/C clutch bit the dust late last month and I took the week off work whilst waiting on the new clutch coming and gave her some lovin' just never took any after pics as I'm sure you are bored with driveway pics anyway.

Process was:

Wash,
De-Tar,
IronX,
Wash,
Clay,
Wash,
Compound with PC & 4" Sonus Polishing Pad + Menzerana Intensive Polish 3.02
Polish with PC & 4" Sonus Finishing Pad + Menzerana Finishing Polish (PO85RD)
Wash,
IPA Wipedown,
Seal with G|Techniq C1+ (cured 4 days)
Seal with G|Techniq C1.5 x2

Interior surfaces protected with G|Techniq C6
Leather cleaned and conditioned with Gliptone twins
Glass polished+sealed with Carlack twins
Tires dressed with Meguiars Endurance Gel
Arches dressed with Meguiars Hyper Dressing
Metal polished with Autoglym Metal Polish
Trim and Rubber + plastics under hood dressed with CG VRT
Airbrushed bits sealed with Autoglym Super Resin Polish
Wheels sealed with Chemical Guys Wheel Guard
Air freshener - Autoglym Odour Eliminator (smells fresh)

Bearing in mind the above was done about 3 weeks ago. Today, was just a quick wash, dry and dressed the tires. :)

Do you use a Foam Cannon Gun? I'm going to purchase that along with the IronX Soap.

Thanks Travis, ugh, gravel roads are a PITA. Drove down a few today now my tires and arches are dusty.

Thanks Paul! Yes, IronX is one of those must have products IMO.

Regarding the foam gun, not anymore. With this sealant nothing actually sticks anymore. I rinse the car and it is practically dry after going round. Stuff just drips onto the ground. I used to use it on and off before though, more for a novelty though TBH. :D
