Pine Sap Removal
Any good suggestions to remove a few quarter-size globs from glass and paint!

The stuff is still sticky, but crusty around the edges.

We parked under a pine tree for a few days while on vacation.

Re: Pine Sap Removal
For white pine, hot water and dish soap works for me but those are sure big globs :(. If it's spruce sap though, fuggettabout it! I park under a pine tree all week and spruce trees on the weekends....

Re: Pine Sap Removal
Have used Turtle Wax Tar removal, and works good without removing the wax that dish soap will do.

WD40 and leave it for a few minutes.

Re: Pine Sap Removal
Just use straight glass cleaner. This will strip the wax off. but the alcohol will break down the pine pitch, and soften it. Use straight rubbing alcohol or I like stright glass cleaner and be gentile you can scuff the clear with an abrasive or rough rag.

This will work ....

Re: Pine Sap Removal
I'd start with rubbing alcohol...

Re: Pine Sap Removal
I work in the mountains during the summer and also have lots of pine sap. I was recently told to use "mayonnaise" to remove the sap. I plan to try this afternoon.

I'll echo the WD40 suggestion.
