Tow Haul button with V6

I have the factory tow package and V6 and realize I am missing the tow/haul button on the center console. Did Jeep remove this button on V6 JGCs or am I missing a feature?

V6s never had this feature because the lower tow max limit does not require altered shift logic

When I've towed with my V6 WK2 I set the transmission to max out in 4th gear and not 5th as 5th is O/D. You can do so by bumping the shifter to the right until it says 4 in the EVIC. That's how you turn off O/D on the V6.

If you get the V6 with tow package does it have the bigger alternator and tranny cooler and whatever else?

No, the V6 package does not include transmission cooler or big alternator. The main items are hitch and wiring, self-leveling rear shocks and full size spare tire.

Thanks, that is good advice. I still think Jeep could have added the tow haul switch to the V6 to do what you have suggested but do it automatically. I wonder if the tow haul switch is doing more with the V8 and 6 speed.

The tow haul button does several things in the v8. It will sequentially shift through both 2nd gears. It will hold each gear to a higher rpm before shifting. It disables MDS. It won't shift into 6th gear. During steady braking it will downshift to use engine breaking.

V6 only gets the load levellers if 4x4. Price does not change.
