Steering Wheel Clicking Noise

Ok so I just bought an 05 WK 4.7l V8 with 80k on it and when I turn without using the blinker it clicks. It seems like the blinker is trying to disengage or something. It won't make any noise except when I turn 90 degrees or more. I'm hoping its just a plastic piece on the assembly but I have no idea how to fix it and I don't really want to pull the steering wheel / airbag off. Any ideas?

My '05 has always done the same thing. Doesn't seem to affect anything

If you search the site, this issue has been discussed before.

It is likely the cancel cam. If you hold onto the stalk, you will feel it as it clicks.

Other posts talk about what is necessary to fix it - I'll let you find those on your own. There is also a TSB regarding this issue.

Thank. I just wanted to make sure it was the cancel cam. I'm going to fix it this week.

Here are some links, the cancel cam alone will not fix your problem, look through those threads.

If its the clock spring I will be pissed. I will look at the Cam and try to shave it down. Should know by the end of the week. Thanks for the help.
