Not a bad deal at all! They have more sets listed for sale as well. I would want all 10" wide rims though. Wonder if they would accommodate that if you asked? I like that they have the SRT in the wheel too. I'd be all over these if they had 22's. Save me from powder coating my OEMs.

Cast, made in China vs. Forged made in a 1st world country (not sure if it's the US, Australia or Italy but I'm sure it's one of those 3), no thanks......

Unless the OP has stock in the company - not sure why this would even be considered an alternative...forget cast construction with cheap chinese sand molds...

Think about leg irons for your SUV that effect every aspect of performance...they should come with a 5.7 HEMI sticker to replace the 6.4 moniker.

I highly doubt what you guys say is true. Look at the 2006-2010 jeep SRt replicas...they are ACTUALLY lighter than the oem forged and probably thousands have been sold with no reported problems as far as I know. No way I would pay $4500 for oem wheels when these are $1000.

There is no way that is a true statement - no way. There is no way a cast replica wheel is lighter than a forged - no chance, no way. Not happening. Ever. Period.

It's simple physics, if a investment casting is made from a forged original it will be lighter, it will also be significantly weaker. Whether it's weak enough to cause a failure in normal road use can be debated and anecdotal evidence may show a trend but it doesn't prove anything.

The factory wheels are as heavy as they are because the engineers determined they needed a certain level of strength which is usually not reflected as a simple load rating but needs to either be simulated via FEA and tested on the track with proper measuring equipment.

Question, would you take one of these $250 Chinese wheels and bounce your $60000 truck off the rumble strips on the track at 100+ MPH like Ralph did in that track video? I wouldn't.

Your talking to a metallurgist.....I work with aluminum everyday. There will literally be no difference. In fact the forged wheels are made from Chinese aluminum......FYI

Sorry....there's a thread here where member "svenskajeepguy" weighed both...and the replicas were 2 pounds lighter....iirc.

So, as a metallurgist you are saying that assuming the same alloy spec, sand cast aluminum is the same strength as forged?

If that's true than BBS, OZ, Champion, Fikse and a few major race car manufacturers have been pulling the wool over our eyes for decades.......
