Different size of WK ?

Hi guys,

do you know if there is different size of WK ?

I have a 3.7 but with only 2wd... I know, I know....

But I find it so small in compare to another wk tires are in 235,65,17

Are the 2wd smaller than the 4wd ?

Thanks!!

Nope, they are all the same size, Unless you have one of the rare Jeep grand cherokee xl they that only make in 2007.5. Its a Wk with 3 rows.

they are the same size.. maybe you are seeing the ever so slight difference if the 4x4s come with different stock tire sizes.. I know mine were 245/65/17 when i first got it... not 235s.

maybe thats it.. but i doubt it. the vehicle itself is the same size. the weights are a little different though..obviously.

also your suspension may be sagging to the point where it seems yours is lower giving the illusion of being smaller.

Hi, thanks, I think about 2 things,

he's certainly sagging a little, but when I look for the coil springs on rockauto.com there is 2 ref. One for 4x4 version and one for the rwd version, but they don't give any size...

Re: Different size of WK ?

When I 1st got mine it was obvious from the rear sag that the hitch was used regularly. So I replaced everything with original equipment for the laredo. It's much higher, rides, and handles much better. However even with 245/65/17's it's still not as high as many I see, and I'm thinking about adding a small lift. If I had a do over I would order parts for a limited, overland, or something with a tow package. Maybe someone who knows these models can elaborate further, and possibly give you some part numbers. I just wish I had another inch, or two. Good luck

just save money and order an OME HD lift from Kolak for $700.. its springs for front and rear, struts and shocks.. and you get 3" of lift. that solves all your problems in one.

Guys, when Jeep made the WK's they offered 235's on all the laredo's unless you purchased the Tow Group with included bigger tires and obviously the hitch. I have an 06 Laredo without the tow group and my stock tire size was 235. Now on the other hand, all the Limited and Overland models came with the 245 size regardless of the tow group. For example my father has an 08 Limited loaded with everything except the tow group, but he still has the 245 size. There is one exception, if you bought the Rocky Mountain or 65th anniversary you got the 245 size automatically but these models are still considered Laredo models. Hope this helps!

Do you know if there's a difference in the springs with the different models?
