Front end alignment

Well had the front end alignment done last Friday, sick of it pulling ever so slightly to the left.
The front right hand tyre had worn on the inside after 3,500Km.
The guy I took it too also has a WK2 Jeep and his was out from new as well. Now its perfect let go of the steering wheel and maintain a straight line.

I finally got rid of the problem of jeep pulling to left after 4500km. my camber was not adjusted from factory. Pro axel at narellan did a fantastic job.

Do you remember what your caster, camber degree's were? mine is also pulling to the left from new, and I've done 18,000km already. Been to three tire shops and none could successfully fix it. Did you have to fit any aftermarket parts to correct it?

I am in Perth, and need a reputable alignment specialist.

Mine is pulling to left as well. Do I take it to jeep dealer or tyre shop. Don't want to pay. Will warranty cover this?

Not sure. Still finding a solution. Jeep dealer I bought from recently do their own alignment abd they didn't pick up the problem.

IMAZ.

Try
Wilkinson Suspension
81 Beechboro Rd South
BAYSWATER WA 6053
PH: 08 9370 2646.

They pretty much dialled out the issues I was having with my old Sorento post a suspension lift.

Not sure where you are in the Perth area as to whether it is a reasonable suggestion.

Have also got ye old turn left tendency. B annoying!!

Regards

Adrian.

Thanks, will try them out. I'm in Ellenbrook and Bayswater is nearby. Did you solve yours out with them?

I was just about to try out drivestraight in Kewdale, but they mainly deal with trucks and 4wd.

I think a lot of the issues with wheel alignment on new Jeeps is due to the way they are shipped. On the boats, they are tied down around the suspensions as well as on the delivery trucks.
An over zealous shipper will crank the chains down as tight as. Not surprising some alignments are out of whack. I would hope that delivery dealers would do an alignment check as part of predelivery, but then that will never happen.

As you know - these vehicles are AWD - they are in 4WD all the time......
Specialist wheel alignment places that know their business will check alignment of all 4 wheels.
It's not unusual to have a problem with a rear wheel creating an issue with tracking.

It makes sense. I read somewhere that few tyre places do fourbies properly. I was going to suggest that if getting an alignment at a tyre place, one should provide the specs, tow-in and camber front and rear and castor angle. Chances are they won't have access to Jeep specs so will apply a generic setup. I assumed these details were in the manual as they were in for other cars I've owned, but not so, at least not that I could find. If anyone can find the wheel alignment specs it would be much appreciated by all. I guess this is another one of those Jeep "need to know" things to protect the dealers.
