Are they really Mopar or cheap, unsafe knockoffs like most other stuff from there?

I'm pretty sure my Mopar Step Bars and Splash Guards were both made in China. I was very disappointed.

Check your rims too, i was looking for a way to take off my tow package (i know strange) and happend to look over at my rims and in the wheel pocket it said "made in China". I know my window sticker says parts may be made and assembled in Canada or Mexico but nowhere does it say China. Jeep is no longer an American brand... which is fine but they need to start adding China to the made in Canada and Mexico list on the window sticker. Still I love Jeep!

Assembled and parts sourced from are two different things. I don't have my window sticker near me but they usually list where parts are sourced from. Parts are made in various places around the world.

Don't feel too bad, my Viper's OEM Dodge wheels were made in China too.

I realised this some time ago, what caught my eye with the jeep parts is the mopar site, the photos of skid plates are identical to those shown on the chinese distributors website, tadaaaaaaa not surprised mind you. Of course these companies dont manufacturer their own parts these days, more to the point is a group could get together and import some really cheap parts for themselves in bulk.
