Headlights to low

I have a 2012 Jeep GC with the automatic leveling headlights and the issue is that they shine WAY to low at night on low beam. Out at about 50 feet or so is the very defined "edge" of the light. My wife just narrowly missed a damn deer at 70 mph because she couldn't see it. The auto highbeams had dimmed the lights due to the urban area. We shut off the auto highbeam feature after that but man there has got to be a way to get the low beams to shine higher than they do?

There is an adjusting screw behind the assembly and accessible through a hole in the top that will adjust the whole assembly (high and low beams). Someone posted instructions about a year ago.

There is no way to adjust them separately, but if you height sensors are off it could affect aiming. You would think the sensor would affect both low and high beams, however.

Yeah just aim them higher, but BE SURE not to aim them too high because if that sharp cutoff line gets in the eyes of oncoming traffic they are extremely bright. Also, make sure both sides are aimed evenly together. They arent like the older halogen reflector housings that you see people having aimed all over the sky. HID projectors as you can tell are pretty critical to have aimed right.

I had the same problem. I recently took it to Jeep for service and mentioned the problem. It appears the passenger headlight pin used for the auto-leveling feature wasn't connected/broken (not sure which).

They fixed that pin, the auto-leveling now works, and I can see ahead at night now. The difference is amazing.
