Who can tell me if front driveshafts CV joints giving grief means the front suspension bushes could need attention as well.
I'm guessing reasons
Thanks

Welcome to the garage.
Are the CV joints making noises? I donīt see any connection between worn CV joints and worn control arm bushings other then high milage.

Thanks, Front ds cv joints seem to fail often, you are right about hi ks(210000) so there is noise in the suspension as well as the ds.Was wondering if all should be done at once because additional movement could stress a new driveshaft or not ?

Thanks again

Not 100% sure, but i donīt think that worn bushings would do any harm to the drive shaft CV joints. With worn bushings the axle can move a bit compared to the carrosserie, but there will be no movement between the axle and drive shafts. The propeler shaft CV joints or U-joints are maybe less happy with the movement, eventhough there is a slide coupling which allows for some movement (which is needed for the normal suspension travel movement)

Thanks again, Have been pleasantly surprised how well the Laredo goes without a front driveshaft. The ds is away getting fixed and the GC keeps rolling along.
Will see how it goes before bushes
Viva Los Pumas and go All Blacks( rugby )
