A/C and cruise control issue...

So researching in this forum i found the 1/4" line and replaced it. I just recently acquired my Jeep from my mother who for the past 3yrs just lived without any AC. That being said my vents are functional again but the air isn't cold at all. Could this be because it hasn't been used in three years and needs to be recharged?

Possibly yes does.your.a.c clutch turn on? I would go to a shop as a.c isn't for anyone that doesn't know what they are doing...and now that season is done for most areas should be cheaper

Do doors rotate and close off the heater core. The a.c compressor lines one is to be hot and one is to be moderatly cooler.

Re: A/C and cruise control issue...

If the pressure in the AC lines is too low, most probably the compressor will not even be switched on. Do a full AC servicing at a specialist shop and you probably will be good again. It can be that there is a leak somewhere and that the gas charge just disappeared, but the shop will do a vacuum check and know if the system is tight before even putting the new charge in.
