At around 17 sec I hold the switch up until it goes up then I let go. Anyone have any ideas.

Re: Wtf
push it down all the way and let go and it will go all the way up
if you push it and hold it it will go up but will bounce back even if you hit it. It has one of those motors that will wind it all the way up. The passenger always has a hell of a time holding it down. Not sure what Jeep was thinking. If you push down or up but not all the way then you can control when it stops.
Basically you can't have it held all the way down or it will bounce around. I was thinking maybe the motor had been replaced at some point. If it is a design fluke then my windows do it as well and I suppose they need some fixing. But I have figured out the system I would say.

Re: Wtf
IIRC, there is a "teach" procedure for the power windows, but do not recall where I read it. Perhaps another forum member can dredge it up.

Think it goes something like lowering window and holding switch down for an extra 3 secs and then doing the same thing by raising the window and holding the switch also.

I'll try to look in the '08 FSM later on tonight.

My '08 did started doing this around 34,000 miles and there are two tsb's issued. I printed up both tsb's and took it to the dealer where the first one accomplished nothing so they moved on to the second one which fixed the auto reversal issue.
