Basic Stock Radio and UConnect

I have searched around and have become very confused. If I am asking something that has been clearly stated and I missed it I am sorry.

I recently purchased a stock 2011 WK2 with no Uconnect and basic radio. I am wanting to go ahead and get UConnect installed mainly for the IPod Integration feature. My question is if I install UConnect and leave the stock radio will I be able to control my Ipod through the actual head unit and will it display artist names and song titles? Thanks in advance!

Yes. You will have the Ipod control with artist and song titles. You can also scroll through categories and playlists by pressing the list button and using the right knob to flip through list and select choices by pressing the knob down. I hope this helps answer your question.

You will also be able to make selections using the preset buttons to access:
button 1 = playlist
button 2 = albums
button 3 = artists
button 4 = genre
button 5 = podcasts

then using the tuning knob to scroll thru the list of each and press the tuning knob to make the selection.
