Painting tailight guards?

So I have a set of Aries tail light guards on my WK. They are nice but I was considering a change. Now I am painting my calipers this weekend (at least that is the plan) with Red G2 caliper paint. I was considering painting these an identical red and seeing how they turn out. I was also considering hitting my d-rings with the same color? Eventually I will like to see about painting the 4xguard center plate. Yay? Nay? Maybe a bit too much? Looking for your thoughts if anyone cares to chip in.

I'll give it a go this weekend to see how it turns out.

i like the idea of painting all the stuff you said... but why red?
I think the red would really distract and clash with the cool stealth like colors you already have going on. just my opinion though.

if done, put up some pics so we can see the results!

I would not know what other color to go with that I can differentiate easily. The calipers are definitely going red. I can't see any other color working with the black wheels. Yellow would be too much for me. The tail light guards were just a thought. I already have red badges on the front quarter panels

I think red is probably a bad color for anything on that truck. but that's just me.

I think you are right as to anything truly on the exterior... but the calipers will most likely work. A little bit of red helps but too much will be bad. That is why I was looking for feedback though. Thanks!

Black is another option, but that would just be too much black on the wheel for my liking

Re: Painting tailight guards?

agreed. if you have a little red on the quarter panel then do the calipers in it.. but i dont know how much more i would do in red. too much will completely ruin it. shame you have the steel blue/black combo going (not a shame you have that, bc i think its sick)... but a shame you have it for this situation, bc i think when you do red calipers.. red d ring shackles can look cool... but its not gonna look right on your WK, IMO
I say go with the calipers and leave it at that.

Maybe we can get someone to Photoshop my pic (I am not good at digital editing) and just get an idea. The steel blue is an interesting color to me because at times it looks gray and a very pale blue and other times it is a darker blue (not extremely dark). The light really makes it look 2 different colors to me.
