Interior color change

I got a little bored of the way my interior looked so I decided to change it up a bit. The pillars are black and headliner is coming in black. See if you can see the difference.

Basically I just wiped down the panel with some degreaser to get any oil or amorall off. Then I used an adhesion promoter called bulldog. Its what my body shop guy uses and recommended. For the color, I used a paint by SEM that is for interior panels. And viola.....

Nice job man. Good color choice too. I'll post pics of the interior of my Mojave, which has the bezels done in a similar grey.

It took about an hour to tape up and another 45 min. to paint. I painted the top black and the middle part is called pewter. I taped each part seperate. Painted one first, then let it sit for an hour and then taped the other part. I had to put tape on the freshly painted part. It held up no problem. I thought for sure the paint would lift. I gave it 24 hours to fully dry before installing. It sets up in an hour enough to handle the panels for re-install. I just wanted to be safe. So far i've only done one panel. The second one I did today. I painted some other parts and used a different adhesion promoter and they do hold up as well. I will repaint them withy the new stuff. Its really no that hard. You just have to take your time and tape everything off well. It came out better than I thought it would.

I get pretty dirty at work so those two pieces always get filthy. That is why thier painted dark. The colors also follow the lines with the dash and pillar pieces.I am going to have to take pictures once I am done.

Thanks. I needed a dark color on those parts due to work and it getting filthy. I would be great to see some pics of your interior. Is your jeep some sort of special edition ? Nevermind. I just saw Blackpeppers' post.

I plan on doing this maybe a few years from now when the jeep is just a project vehicle instead of a DD.
