Hello from SoCal

Hi guys, just wanted to introduce myself.

Bought my first Jeep a few weeks ago and have been lurking on here ever since. Picked her up used. Its a Silver 2011 JGC Laredo X, 4x2, V6, with 21,000 miles on it. Had to sell my Audi A4 due to its ultra small rear seat space as we are expecting a new baby in the next few weeks.

A few of my previous vehicles
-2008 Audi A4
-2008 Chevy Trailblazer SS
-2005 Chevy Tahoe
-2001 Ford Mustang GT
-1989 Ford Mustang GT

I have already removed the side molding and have a set of Gloss Black 20" inch wheels on the way from OE wheels LLC. Will post some before / after pics once I get them installed.

I've reviewed most threads and it seems that 285/50-20 may be the direction to go with tires. Any other options on this?

Future mods include, lowering, black altitude grille and rear brow.

Thats all for now. Cheers!!

Jeremy

Put the new wheels and tires on her today. Love the new look. Definitely more agressive and sporty looking. Tires are Toyo Proxes S/T in 285/50/20. Here are the before and after shots. Stock wheels were 18s. What do you guys think? I wish there was a way to lower the back slightly. I think this would really complete the look.

Thanks Scott. Wanna trade? Haha. I had a trailblazer SS a few years ago and loved it.

I think it's time to lower it .... Eibach has some springs that will bring the rear down. Do a search, there's a guy that posted pics of his lowered 2wd Overland.

I can't recall which section on this site...

The thing is I really like the height in the front now. I've seen the threads with the eibach springs and they look pretty sweet. I guess I worry about proper front end alignment with this thing lowered on all fours. Every vehicle I've owned I've lowered, even my tahoe, and it seems the alignment was never right and would burn through tires.

Look into SRT8 OE springs... they come from the factory approx 1" lower.

If you want to change the rake, then you may want to experiment and leave the Laredo OE front springs and use SRT8 OE rear springs. The spring rate should be close between the two models, the SRT8 being somewhat firmer.

Either that or leave it stock..... ;)
