Headlight protection

Will waxing my headlights and foglights with a liquid sealant wax like Meg NXT 2, in an attempt to make them easier to clean dead bugs and dirt, scratch or discolor them at all? I wouldn't think so but wanted to check. Thanks.

Yes wax will help. Anytime a nice layer of wax is applied road debri and bugs will come off easier. Go ahead and do it, certainly won't hurt anything. When I wax my vehicles I always do the headlights as well.

Re: Headlight protection

Ive been using a product called Plex-all for clear plastics, such as plastic vehicle lenses and my motorcycle helmet visors. Seems to provide a slight polishing effect, is anti-static and makes bug removal super easy. Doesnt leave any residue and makes them nice and clear.

Im sure sealant or wax would work well also. The plex all is just easy to use if you arent waxing/sealing your paint and want to brighten up the plastic lenses.

Plexus! Plexus Plastic Cleaner

(I am in no way affiliated with them, just a happy user)

I bought a pre-cut Xpel headlight protection film kit for both of mine. The material is very solid and applies completely clear. It is thicker than you expect, to absorb rock impacts I guess. Had it one for almost 2 years and over 40k miles and it still looked great on my old wk2.
