2013 model year Jeep price increase effective today
 
2013 model year price increase, effective with shipments starting October 1, 2012:

Laredo 4x2 + $200
Limited 4x2 + $300
Overland 4x2 + $400
Laredo 4x4 + $200
Limited 4x4 + $300
Overland 4x4 + $400
SRT8 + $300

Plus:

Destination price increase of $70.00 (now $995)

Well that does it. I can't swing the extra $70 in destination so I guess I'll have to get that Kia Sportage instead.

I think the amount is less of an issue than the price increase for no major improvements. Ymmv.

I'm sure it has to do with the standard features that's available! I could be wrong

It was an across-the-board increase that applied to most Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles. They have pretty much done this every October, one of the several increases put into place during every model year.

The largest increase was for the Durango SXT, it went up $570.00.

Sort of - the Grand Cherokee and the Patriot/Compass are the only 2014 models that are coming out early. They always implement a price increase near the end of the normal model year (every May), which allows the new models to be advertised with a smaller increase. Plus, during the model year they also slide in increases for options.
