another issue with dual climate heat
well winter is just around the corner so I decided to finally cut into the HVAC housing behind my glove box and fix my heat. Well, guess what?? It doesn't make sense to me. If I am correct, the door up means heat(actually that is correct according to the door that DOES work)...the doors down mean no heat. I figured my doors were broken as is the typical issue with these jeeps...HOWEVER, the door closest to the glove box works...driver side. the door farthest is not working BUT is stuck in the up position. Now, if up means heat, then why am I not getting heat from the passenger side since the passenger side door is stuck up??? ERRRRRRRRRRR. Option two, since I am unwilling to deal with the million steps it takes to tear the whole inside of my jeep apart to get to the whole HVAC system is to tape off the vents descretely. haha. So if there isn't any easy fix for the problem, somebody please tell me how to get the trims off so I can tape off the vents on passenger side where it's not going to look so noticible. :-) I'd rather have no air blowing thru them, than cold air all the time.
Its a bummer but there is a guy local here in Chicago that's all he does is repair jeep hvac boxes. If ya need a quote let me know shipping back to you should be cheap admitted can.use.my fedex discount. Example I shipped sti complete struts to Bronx NY and.paid 25$
