new lift coming

I recenetly ordered new IRO 3.5 lift springs for my 97 JGC. The old springs were sagging causing my alignment to be off and scrub tires. Sagging springs were and is causing some death wobble because if the alignment issue. Looking forward to getting this back up where she should be.

Are you running a winch? Give a report on how much height @ intstall & after wheelin/settling a little.

Re: new lift coming

No winch right now. I wheel but nothing major as this is my DD. I do have a tube bumper on the front and wonder if I should replace the stock 1" spring insulator pad with a 1.5" spacer. I figure .5 more inches could make up for the heavier bumper. Heres a current pic before the actual lift springs go in. As far as settleing/saging go, I spoke with IRO and they stated the springs will go in about 4" lift and settle at 3.5 -3.75 inches with a lifetime warranty against sagging. These are the reasons I went with IRO.

Nice looking rig. It's about time for me to replace front springs, so looking for some real world reports. I'm running the Rough Country winch plate/XRC8 combo to reduce some weight up front w/V8.

Re: new lift coming

well according to Fed Ex, I have new springy things on my porch at home. I will take pics, maybe even a video of the R&R process. My plan is all 4 springs, two trac bar alignment brackets and the correct rear coil spring isolator pads. My guess, w/o a lift 3-4 hrs start to finish by myself

Good luck on that, hope the rig doesn't fight you too much. PB Blaster is your friend!

Re: new lift coming

Thanks Cruiser. No issues underneath. Its all been apart in the last 2 months. I installed all new CA's and bushings. So IRO was great to work with. Easy on the phone and decent shipping. They even labeled the springs front and rear. Pretty cool. I got the trac bar brackets from Fat Bobs. These are super beef parts. This weekend will be the installation of everything.

I'll bolt and stitch weld the brackets in place for rigidity

It's always something, isn't it? U-joints all greased up? Driveshaft going straight from T-Case to Diff (rear trackbar alignment)? Pinion angle?
