Chrysler 200 loaner

Went to dealership for an oil change. They discovered the rack and pinion system was leaking. Car was built june 2011 and does not fall under that tsb about the r and p system.

Dealership was cool. Is fixing the problem under warranty and gave me a Chrysler 200 loaner no charge. Car is surprisingly fast has the pentastar engine with 6 speed gear box. The 6 speed trans shifts quick and fast. I can spin the front tires every time from a stop.

Wish my v6 had the six speed. Makes a huge difference.

That 200 is a POS. I had one for a loaner as well while the SRT8 was in for body work.

Haha. I totally agree. Interior exterior p.o.s. I was just surprised how the pentastar performed with the 6 speed transmission. It also sounded better than my v6. Probably cause it was pushing far far less weight. How is it a p.o.s. 200 gets a fancy dual exhaust with chrome tips and the jeep v6 gets a single?

its a sebring....there is no difference besides a few styling cues they took, same platform.

BTW the 3.6 does feel fast but so did the 3.5 from the 2011 RT avenger, that was a fun little ride. the 3.6 just makes all its power high up.

The 200 isn't bad in limited form. We had a base as a rental, and it felt cheap/week with the 4-banger/4 spd auto.

The 6 spd auto wouldn't make that big of difference for us. The 200 is about 1500 lbs lighter than a WK2. That's where the difference comes in. If we had 3:92 gears, that would make a difference.

The problem I had with a 200 rental was I kept smacking my head on the door frame while entering/exiting the vehicle. It drove ok, but I wasn't pining to buy one!

The 2011 Avenger R/T was powered by the 3.6L as well. Not the 3.5L.

I drive a lot of rental cars with my business travels. So I'm used to slow cars. Well, some of the base models Fords are peppy. But yeah, the 200 was slow in my book. It was fun being FWD and a hand brake ;) had some fun around corners.
