2007 WK driving problem

I have a problem with how my WK drives. It's a 4.7 and when I get it to about 40 mph it acts like it can't go any faster and I try to accelerate and it won't go like it should. It also stutters like it wants to go but it can't. I replaced the spark plugs, egr and pcv valves and oil and it helped immensely with my gas mileage since It would take a quarter of a tank to go 60 miles. What could my problem be? I seafoamed it and a lot of smoke came out. I just have that one problem. It has about 82k miles on it and the previous owner didn't really do regular maintenance on it. Any help would be appreciated so I can figure this out.

I read on the forums that a software update or whatever it's called could solve this problem but what exactly would I tell them?

Thanks

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I'm going to print this out and take it to the dealership I've taken my Jeep to and see if this has been done on mine. It always helps to have information like this handy.
