94 4.0L won't start

I've owned this Cherokee since new, has 160,000 miles and has been well maintained. Is not getting spark and does not seem to be getting gas. I have replaced crankshaft rotational sensor, rotor, distb cap, coil. Cranks well but nothing, not even a single burp even with shots of starter fluid. Now at a loss for what else to do. Any thoughts from those who've been here before.

Dave H again:
Forgot to mention replaced fuel pump and filter about 3 months ago, so not likely problem.

have you pulled one plug and check to make sure you are getting spark? also do you smell gas ? can you hear the fuel pump turn on when you turn the key ?

I am tending to think that there is a common link between lake of fuel and lack of spark, e.g. an electronic control box????

Looks like there is a Relay ( ASD ) . You can find it under both Ignition system and fuel system. I added the link to the Factory service manuals . for a Tj. It will tell you how to test the relay

Re: 94 4.0L won't start

your asd is de-energized if it doesnt see a crank signal in a couple seconds so if your crank sensor is fubar then you wont get spark, or injector pw and your fuel pump will also shut off with no rpm input... did your crank sensor require a fiber spacer on installation? It typically comes on the sensor when its needed, but if the mount hole has a slot and it didnt have one start there. Also consider that chryslers are VERY peticular when it comes to sensors, I would almost consider re-replacing it with a mopar crank sensor if you didnt install a mopar one.
