18" Sahara rims on 2004 Grand Cherokee Special Edition
I came across these 18's from a sahara and was hoping they would fit my 2004 Grand Cherokee. I've searched high and low, and now I need the advice of this community. The rubber on the 18's are shot so I need to buy new rubber....

The tires on my jeep are in need of replacement as well, so I thought now might be a decent time to try a new look for the Jeep...

From my research the bolt patterns appear to be the same 5x5, but the offsets are different.

Any advice would help a ton.

Here is a pic of the 18" from the add:

Also if it does fit and anyone can give me the rubber dimensions I'd need for a stock Grand Cherokee that would be great as well....

This is my first post on here, but I've been reading this forum on a daily basis for about 8 months now.

My Grand Cherokee has a borla exhaust, K&N intake, Bilstein HD shocks, and a 7/8 inch rear sway bar - just thought I'd share

Thanks for the help everyone

Re: 18" Sahara rims on 2004 Grand Cherokee Special Edition
So after a day of hitting the local tire shops, and dealerships I found out that the 18 from the Sahara will fit on the 04 Grand Cherokee, and the tire needed to accommodate the stock ride height would be a 255/60/18.... Unfortunately here in Ontario Canada there were few good all season tires that fit (some tires were over $700 each).... With 3 kids and a mortgage, I can't afford to toss away $1800 on a simple cosmetic like that.... I will be getting some sweet rubber for the standard 16's that came with the Jeep; spending closer to $1000 I hope this helps others

Re: 18" Sahara rims on 2004 Grand Cherokee Special Edition
I know this is old, but most people that put these on WJ's run a 255/55/18; lots of options from tirerack. I personally(see sig) ran a 245/55/18 BFG that sucked. I liked the smaller dimension, gave it a little bit more 'go' from the smaller diameter. If I would've kept it, I would've swapped those out for some Cooper RS3A's in the same size. FYI, if going with that size, there's not too many options. The BFG's are cheap, the Coopers are not too bad either.

Remember, you dont HAVE to go with the recommended size. You can go larger or smaller, depending on what you want out of the tire. You open up your options a TON if you look at various sizes. is especially helpful. Hope this helps others to not get discouraged. Feel free to PM/email me at and I can share whatever info/'knowledge' I have on the subject.

The 255/55r18 size can be expensive, but I found some sets of 4 for under $600 in the US.
