Nite shades on chrome wheels. WIN!!!

Hey guys just thought I would share my weekend experiment results.
I bought a can of nite shades to blackout the tail lights on our 07 wk and maybe it was the fumes or to late to be brainstorming but I was looking for a simple way to tone down the stock chrome wheels until I can afford some black reps and I let my imagination get the best of me. After a quick test run on a chrome wrench. I decided to give it a shot on a wheel, and to my surprise I love the results and it was so easy.

1. Wash wheels to remove dirt and debris
2. Wipe down wheel with a fast drying cleaner (I used alcohol)
3. Start with a thin coat, let it dry then add as many as you like to achieve the color you want.
I say color you want because with just a thin coat it becomes a dark greenish tint, a little more and it's almost a gunmetal black chrome, then starts to darken into black after that

I will post some before and after pics whenever I figure out how to do that lol

After, don't know why it keeps making them upside down. If someone wants to teach me how to do it right I'm listening

Interesting how black they look in the upside down pic. I think Duplicolor actually makes a black chroming kit, but have not heard of anyone using it.

Ya in the pic you can't see it but when you get out in the sunlight the really look black chrome instead of just painted black the more I look at it the more I like it
