i bought my 07 at the beginning of this year with something like 49k on it. 100k for a 2010 is crazy miles.

I do around 25,00 per year, and I thought that was a lot. I hope you're getting, a good warranty, and an excellent price those miles are high.

I am usually fine with high mileage vehicles, but would walk away from this one.

The fact that the dealer is NOT trying to sell you the extended warranty (which is a huge money maker for them) suggests to me that something is up. If they thought the vehicle truly did not require it, they would push to sell it even more!

Bring it to your own mechanic if you are unsure, he will tell you whats up. 100k miles is not much for a well maintained jeep, but you do not know the previous history. Luckily 100k in that amount of time must have been mostly highway. But that is still a ton of miles for that new of a year. My WK which is an 05 model was at 100k in early 2012.

Re: need you help

there is nothing wrong with mileage, if the vehicle has been maintained, and someone who can buy a new car and sell it 2 years later eating 25k +/- dollars is LIKELY someone who is dependant on the car for buisness or at least their lively hood. Someone with this much money to dump and a need for a functioning vehicle it was probably decently maintained.

If you buy it dont buy a service contract unless its legit and the best you can buy... the thousands of dollars people pay for these things and it is amazing how little some contracts cover.

My 05 has nearly double the mileage of that one and other than the work I got it needing it runs like a top, no problems, never left me stranded, and I have beat the living crap out of it on and off the road.

I agree with 2005 that the previous owner is likely the type that only keeps cars for a short time, but I think most of these types don't care enough to keep up with regular maintenance.
