Smallest Wheel Size for Overland w/ hemi

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I have a 2011 Overland w/Hemi and 20" wheels which ride hard and are almost worthless offroad with Goodyer Fronteras. My Fronteras are almost worn out with 31,500 mi now.

1. Does anyone know the smallest size rim I can put on it since the front disc/caliipers are larger for the Hemi (I believe)?

I think it could handle and 19" but not sure if 18" will clear caliper edge.

2. Also, what is best all terrain tire for the 20" rim on overland?

Thank You,

Overlander70

If the Overland is ordered with off road package, it comes with 18" wheels.

Thank You.

Even with the hemi which I thought had larder rotors up front? Do you what corresponding tire size?

Yep, even with the hemi. Tyres are 265r60 but need at least a 109h load rating.

18s are standard equipment on most V8 models, 20s are optional. OEM and most aftermarket 18s work fine. Some have had to install a small wheel spacer on some aftermarket 18s. Few,if any 17s fit dirrectly.

The Nitto Terra Grappler seems to be a great A/T if you don't want to go oversize. If you have 18" rims then I would say definitely get Silent Armors, I love mine.

I just ordered some 18's because 17's didn't come up as an option for a winter pkg as I spec'd my jeep. I read somewhere that if you have hemi and TOW pkg, a 17 won't fit, or just barely fits the caliper on the front, and I had some 18' blizzaks from the wrangler i traded with 3500miles on them, so I went with the 18" rims. I would go 18 if you're gonna change rims. Nitto Terra Grappler, I've had better luck with them over the Toyo A/T I, but they have a new version. If you don't need mileage and don't mind a little noise, check out the Goodyear Duratrac, more aggressive than A/T, but better siping for wet/ice traction than mudders, and I liked them on the wrangler(but didn't run them in snow), but I've talked to some jeep guys that said they were awesome.
