Front end noise 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The past couple days, i'll get in to drive it and it drives normal (quiet). After about 10-15 minutes of driving, it starts making a squeaking noise. After a while longer, it starts making a rattling noise, like a loose metal part bouncing around on metal. I'm kind of stumped right now because if it was a bearing in the differential, wouldn't it do it constant? I checked the fluid in the differential. A little crappy but it shouldn't cause the noises. I'll probably go ahead with the fluid change anyhow. Its been about 12k since I did it last anyway. Any ideas would be awesome.

Can you tell if the squeak is coming from the front or rear? Is it faster as you go faster? As for the rattle...I'd bet something came loose inside a catalytic converter, and once it heats up and expands, the "something" that came loose starts bouncing around.

It could be the cat, mines started to do the same thing. Haven't had time to fix it yet.
