Fluid change

Hello, i have a 2001 grand cherokee 4.7 v 8 quadra drive.
Was wondering what fluids i would need to change the front and rear diff? And transfercase, transmission. Does it take a special fluid? How many miles can you go before you should change them again? Thx!

Re: Fluid change

Front and rear diff 75W140 with limited slip additive. 3.5 Lts in total
T-case is or the special MOPAR 247 T-case fluid from the stealer, or Mobil 424 (same stuff), 1.6 Lts
Transmission needs ATF+4, approx 7 Lts.
The manual uses a severe use schedule and a normal use schedule. If you look at the normal schedule, the diffs should be changed at 30.000 miles, the T-case at 30.000 Miles and the transmission at 102.000 Miles. Donīt think that the tranny should go that far though, i would keep that one at 30.000 miles as well.

Re: Fluid change

Some gear oils already have the friction additive and only require more to be added if there is chatter/noise detected. Check the gear oil specifications before adding.
