Hesitation when shifting from Park to Reverse - HELP

I perused the threads and have been unable to find anything specific to this. If anyone can point me to an existing thread or provide some input, it would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 2011 Limited 5.7L with 22K on it and it is kept in our garage every night. Occasionally (1 or 2 x's a month) when I head out to work, I start it up and shift into R and get either 1) Nothing for a few seconds, pressing the gas just revs the engine then all of a sudden the gear catches and away I go in reverse. OR... I shift in to R and the Jeep starts to roll... slowly (almost like I was on a slight incline) but adding gas does nothing to speed the roll and again it catches and back to normal. The symptom can last anywhere from 1 to maybe 4 seconds.

I took it into the shop the first time (feb '11) I experienced it and the tech told me this is not uncommon for a Chrysler/Jeep transmission. Gave me some crap about a delay in the hydraulics being normal??

Finally got tired of it and took to the shop again in September. They ran some updates, flashed, hooked up a computer and had one of their guys drive it for a few days and of course they could not duplicate the event and basically said tough. Call us if it happens again and let us check it again. Well it's happened 3 or 4 times since.

I know this is not normal. My wife's identical '11 (diff color) has NEVER done this. Any suggestions on direction to give the shop next time I take it in? Anybody else had a similar problem? Would love any help you can provide!!

Today I had the shop change out my tranny fluid and filters "just in case". They said everything appeared normal, clean fluid and no split filters. So now I wait again to see if it returns. In meantime... Anyone? Anyone?

I have the 2012 V6. I also keep in the garage and noted if I push the brake to start and then drop down into R there is a hesitation.
If I press the brake to start and then release the brake allowing the engine to warm up 30 seconds or more then apply the brake and put into R it seems to operate smoother.

I had a somewhat similar problem a little over a year ago. It was a split open transmission filter.

They told me something very similar early on. I really don't have a problem waiting, but it's something that shouldn't be happening at all. I feel like I shouldn't have to accommodate a flaw, rather they should correct the issue. I do appreciate the input. Keep it coming. :)

I was so hoping this is what they would find today while changing out everything. No such luck.

Thanks!

Good news... After changing out the fluid and filters, I've had ZERO hesitations!
