Temp Gauge

Hi guys,

New SRT8 here:

May be a dumb question, but the temperature gauge is always about a quarter of the way(to the left) and never seems to reach middle. However, when I look at the EVIC, the bar is right in the middle at around 200-210. It seems like they don't agree. I would tend to believe the digital EVIC reading more than the actual gauge, but the inconsistency is bothering me. Here is a photo to better illustrate:

Re: Temp Gauge

so is mine...13 here. Maybe there is no relation in the temp range bewtween the digital and the dial guage.

Re: Temp Gauge

Mine routinely sits on the 3rd hash mark which is one lower then my Overland did. But, the EVIC confirms the 6.4 runs about 15 degrees lower than the 5.7 so it looks like the gauge is more sensitive in the middle than at its extremes. Btw, I'm pretty sure it's driven by the computer and not directly connected like old school gauges so what we are seeing is how the engineers programmed the interface.
