Need Info About Wiring Innovate Motorsports LC-1 Into Vehicle Power
As the subject indicates, I'm installing a LC-1 on my WK SRT8. I wanted to touch base with the guys who already have them installed to get ideas where to wire in for switched hot power and the best ground point.
Also, I couldn't find a good place for the actual LC-1 under the carpet, so I fed it through the body plug, along the frame and into the area behind the fender liner where I found a bunch of other wiring and connectors.
It looks like it's going to be fairly well protected there, this thing will never see winter driving, or even much rain at that, and the LC-1 appears to be a watertight unit anyway. I'm just going to wrap the leads for data acquisition/feed snugly so that they are protected.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For in-cab wiring get a tap-a-fuse that adds another fuse to existing.
To find which is keyed or battery go to wkjeeps.com fuse page. B+ means battery so you want to tap one that does not have the B+ for the specific fuse.
For an in-cab ground there is a 10mm bolt on both sides. Open front door and remove side access panel on dash. Viola. To see a pic check out wkjeeps kicker sub wiring pics.

Thanks so much for the info. I now have exactly what I need in terms of my wiring to get this project finished. I'll be able to get this done over the weekend, and just in time too. I'm having shoulder surgery next week, and even though I wanted this truck put away, I won't be able to drive my Dakota for a couple of weeks since it's a manual.
