A good use for the 115V outlet

We had a "Trunk or Treat" at our church on Halloween. A chance for the neighborhood kids to get candy in a safer environment (it's a low income neighborhood, not really a great place for conventional trick or treating.)

We decided to dress up the JGC with a bunch of lit pumpkins. The bulbs were all 110V but each one was only 5 watts - so I didn't worry at all about running 8 pumpkins off the battery for a couple of hours. The kids all got a big kick out of it (also put dry ice & warm water in the caldron.)

Every 30 minutes or so, the Jeep would "time out" and I would have to go enable the outlet again - no big deal.

Apologies for the not-so-good picture, but you get the idea.

What a great idea. Jeep could produce a Halloween Special Edition with a special seat for black cats, and a cargo net for pumpkins!!!

Looks like it turned out well. I'm sure a good time was had by all!

Yes, that built-in outlet is a very handy arrangement. Great example of something out of the ordinary with that pumpkin setup!

My daughter is always like, "turn the outlet on back here, my phone is dead".
