Terra Grapplers

Is anyone running 265/50/20 stock size Nitto Terra Grapplers on their Overland? How is the highway road noise? Looks like a good all season / trail / all purpose tire.

Thank You

Re: Terra Grapplers

Sorry, not running the Terra Grapplers. I am running Firestone Destination A/Ts on my '07 WK. I also rant hem on my 97 ZJ, My work vehicle which is a 07 Explorer and I run the LE's on my wife's Escape. I live in West Michigan and drive 45-50 miles one way to work during the week. We get lots of ice and snow in the winter.

The tires are good in the snow, and quiet on the pavement.

I'll have them on my WK2 tomorrow. I'll let you know how they are.

Can't wait to hear what you think of them.

Got them on first thing this morning. Look good. No highway driving until tomorrow. So far no difference around town (from stock). I'll let you know how the highway goes.

Got them up to 75. I'd be hard pressed to say they are louder than the stock tires--maybe just slightly. My rack makes more noise than the tires do.

Overall very happy with them. Add a great look to the Jeep and some off road functionality to the 20's.

DurangoZJ,

Thanks for the reply. Touch base with me again on the weekend if you don't mind. It sounds very promising!

Thank You

I have them on mine in a larger size. Very smooth and quiet for their aggressive look. I know have around 30k on the current set, and they are a bit noiser, but still acceptable. I have been very pleased with them overall.

Any chance we can get some pics? I'm thinking about putting the same tires on.

Sure. Away from the Jeep this weekend but I will try and get something up next week.

I am very curious what your thoughts are after logging some miles. I am torn between these and the cooper options. I like the idea of sticking with the OEM size along with the option of going up one size. I have read mixed reviews overall with the big complaints being noisy and short life span.

Please let us know wha tyou think after some miles.

Thanks!
