2007 Cherokee Idles low almost stalls
:( We have replaced the spark plugs because the computer codes at the dealer suggest that is the problem.

Check Engine light comes on and stays on.

This has been going on for several months.

Can't imagine what this could be anymore and the dealer can't seem to fix.

Need help for a non-technical non-auto repair type person.

You might try cleaning your throttle body. puget

I had irratic idle, sometimes to the point of dying, ck eng light, bas/esp light, and cruise control quit working. Replaced throttle position sensor, fixed all, cruise control even started working again.

As stated above..... Check the throttle position sensor, i also had that problem. Plus you should check the throttle body to see if it is in need of a cleaning

Re: 2007 Cherokee Idles low almost stalls
I have replaced my throttle position sensor and my high RPM start up and rolling idle went away. Testing the old one I discovered it was less than 5K ohms. As the throttle opens the resistance goes lower so the engine module thought I had my foot on the gas at start up.

Re: 2007 Cherokee Idles low almost stalls
Question on this, for my 07 JGC with the 4.7 i replaced the tps with a duralast from auto zone and its not right. Mopar only sells the throttle body assembly with the tps already mounted. Can i buy a good quality stand along tps to change out, or should i get the assembly?

Symptoms- rpms rev to 1500 at hot or cold start, takes 30 or more sec to come down, at red light it rumbles like its going to stall at 550 rpm, brief jump in rpms when shifting around 38 mph.

Should tps and iac be done?
