No more leaky trans cooler, aftermarket installd

well i did my radiator swap last year, after a bit the trans cooler lines started to leak, so i pulled out the radiator and re did them... well later they started to leak again, this time i am done with it... picked up a TorqFlo trans cooler, and 3ft extra line from local auto parts store... and popped that in yesterday, no leaks and now ill have cooler trans temps... best part is i did this for less than a new stock trans cooler line would cost... all together i have $53 into it

trans cooler installed, had to go close to the left as i was able to get to the backing plates on the straps that lock it in... got all 4 in but it took some figuring on where to put them

That looks nice. Do you have any pics of how you installed the lines? I am considering something like that since my WJ does not have the aux cooler.

i will snap some pics for you, i basicly took them down around the lower left radiator mount and back to the output and return tubes... i did cut tube to make stays to keep the tubes away from sharp corners and/or eachother... i know it sounds weird but it will make much more sense when you see it

Are you going to monitor the transmission temperature now, to see at what level it will be?

I am sure i can do that... i did not forget about your lines pics either just really really slammed in the shop and i have to do a crank sensor in my jeep so i am driving the trail blazer till i get time to swap out the sensor tomorrow. been turnign otu a ton of cool ass bike builds and custom powder work though! so that is always good!

Frango, on you HID's did you have to run any thing other than the balast and bulb? resister or anything? i want to run HID all around and in the fogs just lookign to see what i need to buy first

No, just the basic HID kit is all i have in there. I was using the HIDīs in the high position as well, but the disadvantage is that the bulbs have to heat up before they give the full power of light. After 1 low ballast went out, i just swapped it with one of the highs and put back the standard high bulbs.
