2005 jeep grand cherokee laredo traction control issue
howdy, i am new to the full size jeep world, i used to have a 2001 Jeep Wrangler 4.0l Sport Canyon Edition, i loved that guy but times got tough and drops in fuel mileage and hikes in gas prices, i made the choice to trade it in on a 2005 jeep grand cherokee Laredo. I test drove it and thought the 3.7l felt weak but i was overall a nice truck and the price was right so i picked it up. Now 3 weeks later, it has started acting up and i didnt buy an extended warranty because of how solid my wrangler was.
The Problem...Upon first start and drive, when you accelerate it will pick up speed until you hit about 45 mph, when you get there, the engine cuts power and the tracion control light kicks on and limits you back to about 40 mph then repeats, if you turn traction control off, it drives fine and if you turn it back on it drives fine, but if you cycle the key, the problem comes right back, the only code it throws is a C121C which is an abs code for torque request denied, i have searched and cannot find any other help, what do yall think my issue could be, i want to refrain from the stealership unless it is absolutely necessary
Re: 2005 jeep grand cherokee laredo traction control issue
it could be a bad relay or sensor from the traction control .
